I’ve spent some time digging through each look of the collection to organize these collages. This is truly the best way to get a quick idea if what we can expect. Blazy continues his fun with 1920’s classic Hollywood chic shoes. His shoes were bestsellers before and I imagine they will continue to be. There were also a lot of plaids in this collection, created in light summery fabrics. I suppose that creates a nice bridge from summer to autumn coming up in a few months.

The BAGS are fun. I swear that I passed out when I saw the giraffe flap bag. I don’t know who is buying this but I’m sat lol. I’m also happy to see the 25 bag in this amazing faux fur?? It’s honestly not my favorite model but suddenly seeing it in the faux fur, it feels like a completely new bag. Much improved. I like it.

We also have some sleek silhouettes and more of these suede bags that we’ve seen. The suede bags are delicious and I’m glad to see them being continued. The crocodile embossed boots are also amazing. They’ll be an autumn staple for sure. However, my favorite here, is the tie. What an edgy little detail for Chanel. I would lose my mind over this tie.

For work yesterday, I was asked to get content of Dior’s newly launched resort-adjacent collection formally known as Dioriviera. Each year our clients are absolutely obsessed. Full of beautiful silks, florals and soft cotton sets, this collection is the ideal summer wardrobe. They typically go with very blue and pink color palettes. I truly enjoyed the silhouette of this striped blue cotton set. The full skirt and the oversized shirt. This relaxed fit is comfortable chic. The shirt falls so precisely over the skirt. I find it visually satisfying like fitting in that last puzzle piece. The pink set is one of the girlier options. The skirt hugged my waist to give me a more figure fitting appearance. The little cashmere top is an adorable pairing and so soft.

A moment for the shoes:

This silk lounge set was one of the softest things I have put onto my body. I would wear this everywhere. Well, I’m not sure if I’m a silk lounge girly. But I appreciate the muted florals in this one. The muted color palette is more my speed than the pinks and the bright blues. Resembling paint brush strokes — beautiful.

This belted dress on the left, featuring a similar pattern to the above maxi shirt/skirt set, was probably the favorite piece that I tried on. The silhouette is beautiful. It’s not quite form fitting but it’s certainly not oversized either. I can always feel more relaxed in something that’s not glued to my body, so I found it quite comfortable. But it’s still fitted enough that it gave me a nice shape. Plus the pattern is very pretty. Now back to another silk lounge set. In a beautiful midnight blue, I felt more at home with this set. I’m not a huge pattern person. This is simple and easy, which makes me feel relaxed inside and out. The classic Jonathon Anderson Dior logo in the corner — I could take that or leave it. I’m not a big fan of the overt logo.

The boutiques haven’t yet received all of the Dioriviera collection, so there will be more to look forward to. I’ve seen this collection come to stores each year, and now seeing it with the Jonathon Anderson spin is a fun surprise.

Hi hi, today I thought I’d start with these quirky ballerina shoe babies from Schiaparelli. If you follow the brand, you’ll know that body parts are a major theme of their designs. Many of the handbags are crafted with facial features — eyes, ears, lips, nose. Many of their shoes feature literal feet. The body parts are also crafted into many of their ready-to-wear pieces. I especially love the button details on their clothing. It’s the small attention to detail that truly makes an item stand out. Schiaparelli pieces are like a game of “where’s waldo fashion edition.” Those shoes are truly a fun addition to any wardrobe.. if you’re not freaked out by them.

Our clients don’t often purchase from Schiaparelli, but I sure love when they do. The Paris atelier in itself is a work of art. The founder of the brand, Elsa Schiaparelli, actually formed a close friendship with Spanish surrealist artist Salvador Dalì. Knowing that information, you can really see the influence in her designs. The brand, in my opinion, does an excellent job of maintaining that theme throughout contemporary designs. Some critics and fashion enthusiasts have become tired of the Dalì references. They find it overdone. But I think this is something extremely unique that no other brand is really doing. In a highly saturated world of unoriginal thoughts and copy/paste trends, I find that uniqueness highly valuable. Plus, the surrealism element is just COOL.

Now here are a few Dior babies I’ve encountered over recent work days. Jonathon Anderson’s Dior has certainly sparked a lot of conversation over the last several months. His debut show in late 2025 featured a lot of debate. Some were appreciative of his fresh, contemporary vision. While others did not see Dior within that vision. I can fully understand that. I actually think that he’s really settling into the Dior house now. His most recent SS26 show was so beautifully, wonderfully, playfully amazing. Did you guys see the little frog handbag on the runway?? There are no words. I’m excited to see how he progresses.

But on that note, one of our clients recently purchased this elegant clutch on the left. Aside from.. literal black.. one of my favorite colors that I am always gravitating toward is this burgundy/bordeaux shade. This color is a magnet to me — so rich and deep and full of feeling. I wish I could have seen the outfit our client wore it with. On another occasion while getting content in store, I encountered these adorable bucket style handbags. They featured four leaf clovers at the base of the bag. If you’ve been watching the collections, you’ll know the clover is a current design theme. So I thought this was very clever. Last, I saw these little slingback kitten heels. They’re not necessarily my style. But that did not stop me from appreciating how stunning they are. The color and the pattern caught my eye immediately. Just gorgeous. Period.

We recently had a client inquire about this Bottega jacket which has been spotted in one of Dua Lipa’s Insta posts. If memory serves me, this was posted roughly around February. The jacket is part of Bottega’s SS26 collection which had not been launched in stores yet. It comes as no surprise that Dua was able to get her hands on it early! But the client saw it and was curious to know more. So off I went.

I began to text my trusted sales associate there. He confirmed that they had not received it yet and would keep me posted. When it finally did arrive in March, I stopped by the boutique to check it out. It’s always super helpful to send clients a live photo of the desired piece. Breathing that life into it! I enjoy the fit of this cute springtime jacket. It’s simple, easy to style and features this fun leather collar detail.

Peep this additional Bottega jacket above. I was there another day to pickup a pair of sandals for a client. I spotted this INSANE crocodile skin jacket priced at €300,000. I saw it hanging on the rack and needed to try it on out of sheer curiosity. It certainly had some weight to it, yet it was moveable. It’s a showy piece. But very fun.

On another occasion, we received a request for a Chanel white button-up shirt. It was a part of Blazy’s SS26 runway. You may know the one. I inquired at Chanel, though was quickly informed that this shirt has sold out across the board. Honestly you guys - Blazy’s Chanel has kept me booked and busy. Overwhelmingly so. The response has been enormous. People are obsessed. I’ve never been busier and that’s saying something.

Whenever a desired product is not available, I do my best to recommend something similar. They did have this salmon colored button-up as seen on Jacob Elordi. The chain detail at the bottom is incredible. I find that to be an insightful touch — love this quirky attention to detail. Naturally, I had to try it on. For reference, I’m normally closer to a size XS/S. This was a medium but still fit really nicely oversized. The material was thick. It surely had some substance to it. Worth the €3,800 price tag? Well, maybe not. But that’s luxury for ya.

I’ve lived in Paris for over six years now, and I’ve been a personal shopper for three and a half of them. It’s not a profession that I ever envisioned myself in, but wow it has enriched my life in ways I can’t begin to describe. Some of my work days can be full of adventure. There’s a lot to cover. So I’m going to begin retroactively with some favorite moments over the years.

I source from a lot of the major brands: Hermès, Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Prada, you name it. But there a few fashion houses that I’ve become particularly close with. Valentino is one of them. The Maison Valentino has always been a joy to work with. They truly make me feel like I’m at home. Literally — sometimes I sit on the floor of the boutique while uploading content, as if it were my own bedroom floor.

Part of my job is trying on the clothes, to show our clients just how each garment looks on the body. The movement, the fabric, the pairing with accessories. The clothes come to life once you remove them from the hanger. My goal is to breathe spirit into them.

One of my favorite parts of the job is trying on the collections that have been so heavily criticized online. If you’re in the fashion sphere, let’s think Maria Grazia’s Dior or Virginie’s Dior. Many of their collections have made me wince. The runway styling often struck me as tacky or out of touch. But it’s interesting how sometimes, all you need is to put it on a body, with the right accessories, and it almost looks good. Sometimes it ends up stunning. Countless people have responded to my posts with comments like “Wow, I don’t hate this anymore.” Styling matters. That’s one of the reasons I so greatly enjoy my try on sessions.

Another brand that I’ve historically conducted my try on sessions with is Miu Miu. This is the quintessential stylish girl brand. They are consistently on trend. They make the trends. So that adds a layer of fun. For me, Miu Miu does jackets very well. They know how to make the jacket a true statement piece. My only critique is that over the years, Miu Miu feels like they’re doing the same thing. More or less recycling the same ideas. However, it seems to be working for them. The trend hasn’t died yet. Let’s see where it goes.

So many of us have been fascinated by the idea of Demna moving from Balenciaga to Gucci. It’s a move that’s hard to imagine. His approach to Balenciaga was aggressively camp. Remember the bath towel? (Among his many other interesting ideas). Demna never failed to make headlines and I think this strategy did enjoy a certain type of success. Whether or not you liked the collections, they performed well with the streetwear crowd and a particular brand of influencers.

Any creative director is given the task of ultimately carrying a brand to success. That’s the job in a nutshell. But each brand — and its clientele — can range greatly. The strategy adopted by one brand may not work with another. It’s important to find that cohesion between trying new things and preserving the identity of the brand (my opinion here). Which begs the question on our minds: Can Demna effectively raise Gucci from the grave?

In a surprise move, Gucci wiped their Instagram and posted this scrapbook style series photographed by Catherine Opie entitled “La Famiglia.” It’s a return to storytelling, creating a narrative that clients can follow. Complete with some quirky stereotypes like La Drama Queen and La Bamba. We can see the trademark Demna flare and structure. But there are also some more conservative and classic pieces which will be key for the average consumer. There are 10 Gucci boutiques that are currently featuring the collection — ready to buy from September 25 to October 12 (New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Milan, Beijing, Shanghai, Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul, and London). I quickly booked an appointment with my sales associate to scope things out.

The first thing I’d like to note is the handbags. The iconic Jackie bag has been made with a lightly distressed leather if you look closely. Intentional wrinkles and scratch marks. This is definitely Demna’s touch. But they’ve also transitioned the bag into a more supple and soft leather (also notice the stunning python bag). The Gucci monogram boots as well. I was also obsessed with the coats in this collection. They’re just crazy enough. They are so fabulous. The python bomber was beautiful and quite a cool vibe. But then also notice the suit and the more conservative, bourgeois red dress. These pieces are very much in keeping with classic Gucci.

This was just a small collection released. There will be additional pieces coming soon (if I remember what my SA told me correctly, I think it was in January). I’m eager to see the rest of the collection.
